Dr Sabieh Anwer and I presented the winner students their prizes in the form of books which were arranged by Khwarizmi Science Society.

For the observation i used my newly purchased Colored Planetary Camera from ‘The Imaging Source’, its far better than my previously used Phillips ToU webcam. With a bigger CCD it showed  more surface area of the moon and the noise is always much reduced with this camera.

I may have used KSS’ own Mallincam Color Video Camera for at least M27, M57 and M13 but since the North was completely covered with trees and Wasif, the guy who always do the hard work of assembling the C14 on Losmandy Titan Mount (all very heavy stuff), was unable to point it to the true North so i could not do the quick Polar Alignment and without that no pointing to the ‘Deep Space Objects’.

We also got a video made of the whole event.. I will soon upload the clips from it. Once again THANKS to all of the KSS team and to the Teachers and Administrators of the Girls School for providing a great opportunity to the young minds of our nation to learn about the Universe and to actually see live, many many craters, maria and mountain regions of the moon. I do hope this experience will make them ponder over their lives and the relationship with the Universe and beyond.
